Giuliano Villa details

Built when flares were all the rage, this unique 1960’s villa is something a little less ordinary. Set in secluded countryside, the Giuliano is actually three igloo-shaped buildings. And although it’s quirky in design, it’s typically Mediterranean in style with stone walls, pots of flowers and trailing bougainvillea.

The cool, comfy interiors have whitewashed walls, traditional furniture and arched windows. In the main building, which is slightly separate from the two domes, you’ll find an open-plan living space. Here, you’ve got sofas, a dining area and a fully-equipped farmhouse-style kitchen. There’s also a double and a single bedroom, plus a pretty terrace outside.

The other buildings are just a few steps away. One has a double bedroom and a small WC, and the second has a single bedroom and a bathroom with shower. There’s also a laundry area with a washing machine.

Outside is the real pièce de résistance, though. At the heart of the villa’s palm-dotted gardens is a large swimming pool. From its terrace, where there are sun loungers and a gazebo, you look out across countryside to the sea beyond. And there’s also another veranda with a hammock.
