The Villa Green House is set in a residential area that's cocooned by countryside, so you can look forward to peaceful surroundings. You’re not out on a limb here, either – it’s only a 20-minute drive to the town of Palazzolo Acreide, with its pretty cafés and Baroque churches. Plus, there’s a beach a bit further on.

The villa’s pride and joy is its garden, which is freckled with palms, cacti and pear trees. At the centre of the lawn you’ll find a rectangular swimming pool, and there are a few loungers at one end. Best of all, there’s a barbecue and dining area out here, so al fresco meals are easy to come by.

Inside, you’ll find a double bedroom and an open-plan lounge and kitchen area. The kitchen comes with essentials like an oven, a hob and a kettle, while the lounge features a cosy fireplace, and a TV and DVD player.
