Casa Santos details
Chunky flagstone walls, a wooden verandah and a quaint little chimneystack give this casita an almost storybook feel. It’s in a lovely spot - surrounded by volcanic slopes and with wide ocean views, it’s secluded and away from the crowds.
Waking up here is a joy because Casa Santos looks straight out to sea. You can fling open the doors and gaze out at the Atlantic. It goes without saying that this little cottage is custom-made for al fresco dining, and you can do just that on the terrace.
Inside, it’s a simple one bedroom, one bathroom casita, but as there’s a sofa bed in the living area, there’s actually room for three to stay. The living room’s open-plan, merging into the kitchen by way of a breakfast bar, and the dark wood furniture gives the place something of a rustic feel.
When you want to eat out, you’ll find El Bodegon Tamanca conveniently close. It’s a traditional Spanish restaurant serving up Canarian specialities. Slightly further afield, about 15 to 20 minutes by car, you’ve got more in the way of restaurants, bars and shops at Puerto Naos. Not to mention a Blue Flag-winning beach.
