With a four-star tag under its belt, the Cortijo Mar has got style written all over it. Expect a complex of 15 contemporary villas with all the mod cons.

Designed like a row of townhouses, each villa is spread over three floors so there’s plenty of space for larger families or groups of friends. They’re beautifully kitted out with chunky wood furnishings and oversized sofas. And it’s all kept fresh and fuss-free with white walls and tiled floors. There’s a large open-plan dining area and lounge with a TV and DVD player. And a modern fitted kitchen comes with extras like a dishwasher and washing machine. One bedroom has an en-suite bathroom and there are a further two shower rooms in the villa.

Even though the Cortijo Mar’s villas sit side by side, you won’t have to worry about privacy. The patio doors lead out onto a secluded terrace. And you get your own swimming pool which looks out over the sea. You’ll also find cushioned sun loungers, parasols and a shower out here, as well as a dining table for al fresco meals. But there's a mini-market nearby in the marina if you’re not intending to cook and the waterfront’s just a short stroll away with a great selection of restaurants.
