Location

Situated just 15 minutes from Arrecife airport on the southern coast of Lanzarote, the Puerto del Carmen is a popular destination for a number of reasons including excellent beaches and the variety of outdoor activities available. All of the beaches in Puerto del Carmen have been awarded the Blue Flag for their cleanliness making them the perfect place to enjoy the sun even with children and the tranquil waters are an excellent place to go swimming as well as water activities such as snorkelling and diving.

The resort centre is also an excellent place to go shopping having developed much since its original days as a small fishing village it now offers a wide variety of shops such as the more tourist focused outlets found around the Beach Avenue or for a more upmarket shopping experience you can try the new Biosfera shopping complex.

Puerto del Carmen is also worth noting for its two festivals that attract visitors from all over Europe, with the Carnival taking place during February and in the summer months there is the Fiesta del Carmen with a variety of entertainment where visitors and locals alike admire the folklore performances, singing and dancing that takes place throughout the night.

The Costa Sal Suites boasts several outdoor swimming pools to enjoy, including two main pools (one salt water and one heated) and also two pools just for children. There are also sunbathing facilities provided by the main pools with a terrace and loungers/sun beds available.

Meals

In addition to the self-catering facilities provided in each of the apartments, guests also have the option of staying at the Costa Sal Suites on a bed and breakfast basis, with the Zesta a la Carte Restaurant offering a delicious alternative to self-catered meals.

Along with the restaurant there is also a snack bar that is open throughout the day providing a variety of snacks and refreshing drinks, ideal to enjoy while soaking up the sun by the pool or just to help you keep going between meals.

There is also a small supermarket onsite that provides all the essentials needed for a self-catering holiday saving you the time of heading into the town each time.

The Costa Sal Suites features a total of 155 apartments, bungalows and studios, which include one-bedroom apartments suitable for up to 3 people, as well as two-bedroom apartments and two-bedroom bungalows that can accommodate up to 5.

All of the apartments, studios and bungalows offer plenty of space with a separate lounge/dining area, a complete bathroom, a balcony/terrace and a fully equipped kitchen. All benefit from seasonal air conditioning with the exception of the bungalow, which have air conditioning all year round, and all are equipped with a variety of modern amenities including: satellite TV ? telephone ?
