With rolling hills to one side and the sea to the other, this modern villa is all about the views. And one of the best places to enjoy them is by the private swimming pool. It’s surrounded by a huge stone terrace, lined with sun loungers. There’s even a separate whirlpool bath. The covered veranda, meanwhile, comes with a barbecue, making it easy to enjoy the surroundings while you cook.

Inside, modern and traditional touches have been combined to great effect. Take the lounge, for example. Exposed stone walls and a large fireplace sit side-by-side with leather sofas and sleek wooden tables. You’ll find all the 21st-century mod-cons, too, like air-conditioning, a satellite TV and a CD player.

As for the bedrooms, there are four in total – two twins and two doubles. Sporting brightly-coloured feature walls and patterned soft furnishings, they’re ultra contemporary. Three of them come with en suite bathrooms, too, which is handy if you’re coming away in a big group.

Last but not least, when you want to get out and about, you’re in a great spot. Argaka’s shops, restaurants and bars are only a couple of kilometres – a five minute drive – away. Plus you’ll find a good-sized beach in the town.
