Shopping in Alanya is often a case of getting the best price by haggling, a popular tradition in Turkey and there are an excellent range of shops including jewellery stores, leather goods, clothing stores and a local market, where if you are patient you can expect to bargain prices down to as much as 50%

There are a large number of restaurants, taverns and fast food outlets to choose from, serving a wide range of cuisine that will cater to almost everyone?s taste ranging from traditional Turkish dishes such as Ottoman Stew to typical British outlets and larger fast food franchises such as McDonalds

The nightlife is a quieter sort than you might find in some of the other popular destinations; it is mostly centred around the city?s harbour with a few of the popular bars tucked away down side streets, most of which close fairly early. For more serious night people there is also the large Auditorium venue a bit away from the city, and more traditional entertainment to enjoy includes belly dancing, fire shows and traditional music.

There are also many interesting sites to be found in the city and nearby including the medieval Alanya Castle, the remains of the Seljuk village, the Red Tower and the Damlatas Caves. There are some great beaches nearby providing great spots for swimming or sunbathing and plenty of activities to try including mountain biking, boat trips to explore the caves and a water park nearby. The hotel has the facilities for football, mini golf, trampoline, land chess, cable ski and water sports.

Located between the East and South wings of the hotel, there is a 1200 square metre pool with an aquapark, a 50 metre Olympic-size swimming area, three kids pools and a relaxing pool. Between the South and West wings there is a 417 square metre pool that has spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea and Alanya Castle. The 158 square metre heated indoor pool with a 9 square metre kids pool and jacuzzi also has panoramic views.

Meals

There are plenty of onsite wining and dining options available for guests including a buffet style restaurant serving international cuisine in an open buffet format for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the a la carte Banquet Restaurant for special occasions, the Turkish A La Turca Restaurant, Sakura which serves Teppanyaki combined with a Sushi bar, on the 16th floor, the Up Hill Lounge where you can enjoy international fine dining and the World Cuisine Restaurant for Italian, Mexican, Thai and Mediterranean dishes. Refreshments are available at Zodiac, a revolving bar where you can enjoy a drink while listening to live music and watching the wonderful views of Alanya as you revolve 360 degrees. You can also enjoy freshly squeezed juice and relax in the Vitamin Bar after coming from the spa or stop by the sports bar for premium drinks, darts and lots of fun. For all kinds of cigars and pipes served with shots, cognacs and relaxing views of the Taurus mountains head for the Cigar Bar and for traditional Irish food and Guinness try Forlan?s Bar. At the Waterfall Bar there are sea views and the relaxing sound of running water, and for those enjoying a little pool or beach relaxation there is the 188 Pool Bar, the Olympic Bar and a Beach Bar. For drinks and piano music in the background there is a Lobby Bar and for a true Irish welcome there is Joe Hanney?s Irish Pub. Last but not least the Gold Carafe serves a selection of great wines whilst the Patisserie has all kinds of cakes accompanied with aromatic coffees, biscuits, desserts and ice cream.

Accommodation

All have - bathroom/shower - WC - balcony/terrace ? satellite/cable TV ? minibar - (certain amenities may be payable locally). Family suites have two bedrooms and one bathroom; some have two bathrooms depending on availability. The deluxe suites have a spacious sitting area and a sitting unit that can be converted to a bed.

Please note the Penthouse villas are separate to the main building. Rooms that state 'for single use' can accommodate 1 adult and 1 child.
