The clue is in the name with this one. The Green House Aparthotel is filled to bursting with plants and flowers. Shrubbery clings to its cobbled walls and climbs up and along the balconies, while bursts of bougainvillea provide splashes of colour throughout the grounds.

The hotel’s location will also win you over. It’s just a five-minute walk from the beach, and the nearest shops, restaurants and bars. It means you’re close to all the action without being right in the thick of things. Better still, Bodrum is less than five minutes away in a cab, so you’re all set for exploring a little further out.

Back at base, you’ll find two swimming pools, as well as an extra paddling pool for little ones. They’re all framed by a paved terrace that’s dotted with sunbeds, so you’ve got lots of space to relax. Plus, you can expect plenty in the way of pool games and activities during the day. Close by, there’s a pool bar, offering up snacks and cocktails.

Come evening, the tone here is set to lively. There’s a lot laid on, including karaoke, quiz nights and barbecues. On top of that, expect regular movie nights and live music acts. Star billing, though, goes to the weekly Turkish nights where male and female belly dancers make an appearance.

Lastly, a word on the studios. They’re really simple, and come with whitewashed walls and wooden furnishings. They’re kitted out with all the essentials, as well, like a kitchenette with a fridge and cooking rings, and a satellite TV and air-conditioning. Finally, each one comes with a balcony as standard.
