The Atolon gets top marks for its setting. It’s anchored on a seafront promenade overlooking Cala Millor Bay, so widescreen sea views come as standard. Cala Bona’s Blue Flag beach is only a few minutes’ walk away, and the huge, white-sand stretch at Cala Millor takes around 10 minutes to reach on foot. On top of that, you’ve got restaurants, cafés and shops right on your doorstep.

You’ll find some of the best sea views from the palm-studded sun terrace. It’s laid out with loungers and parasols and surrounds a big rectangular pool. There’s a shallow pool for children out here, too, plus a shady bar that serves drinks, snacks and light lunches.

The restaurant takes a buffet approach, with cooked and Continental options for breakfast, and dinners that line up international dishes and Spanish favourites like paella.
