Big, bright and vibrant, this hotel rolls out fun and facilities as it looks out to sea.

Larger than life best describes this hotel. Everything seems to be served up in double helpings. Fittingly, it’s big as well. Dominating a hillside above Cefalu, it has 380 rooms to its name. And its grounds are huge, all melting into gorgeous Med views.

At the heart of everything is the pool. Lido-sized, it’s set in terraces sprinkled with parasols and sunloungers. Overlooking it is the restaurant terrace where you can enjoy your Continental breakfasts and buffet meals in the sunshine or under the stars. And close by the water is a buzzing café.

There’s plenty in the way of entertainment, too. For the kids their own mini-club and playground. But the trump card is the aqua park. Nestled in the gardens, it’s a bit ‘Neverland’ in style, a miniature world of chutes, waterfalls and slides that’s spot on for children.

When you want some sand and surf, the hotel has its own private beach area. A shuttle bus runs there right through the day. There’s a beach bar, too, and watersports on standby when you get bored of sunbathing.

One last thing about the location. The Costa Verde is seven kilometres from Cefalu itself. But you’re certainly not stranded. The hotel offers a regular payable bus service that will whisk you to town in around 15 minutes.
