The Le Meridien Penina Hotel is in a scenic position covering a 360 acre area, 2.5 miles from the nearest beach. There are 3 golf courses that surround the hotel and guests can literally step straight out onto the course. The 18-hole Championship course was designed by Sir Henry Cotton and is the most challenging, there is also a 9 hole Academy Course for beginners and a 9 hole resort course. **Stay 7 nights or more and receive 2 free rounds of golf**
Location
The hotel is 3 miles from Portimao. There is a bus stop in front of the property and a shuttle to and from the beach between June and September. The resort has the `Penguin Village` which has numerous activities for children including arts and crafts, film shows, bouncy castles and the `Penguin Mac Restaurant`. During the summer months the beach club has plenty of watersports on offer including windsurfing, waterskiing and sailing.

The hotel has 5 restaurants and 4 bars. Italian, Portuguese and international cuisines are all covered and there are restaurants at the beach and the pool. There is also a cocktail bar and a traditional golfer`s bar. For the golfers there is also a bar at the 9th hole.
