With uninterrupted sea views from its rooftop pool and rooms, the Panorama Hotel certainly lives up to its name.

Hotel Panorama makes the most of those widescreen Amalfi Coast views – it’s on the seafront in Maiori and comes with a rooftop terrace. You’ll find a splash pool, sunloungers, and a cocktail bar up here.

A private volcanic beach lined with loungers and parasols is just steps away. Not only is it one of the few pockets of sand on the Amalfi Coast – it’s the largest beach in Maiori. Extras like a beach bar and free Wi-Fi come with the territory, too.

Back in the hotel, a menu of room types is on offer, including rooms with sea-view balconies. Each place is decorated differently – some are classically dressed in dark wood furniture and heavy curtains, while others have a modern Mediterranean look. Mod-cons like minibars and satellite TVs come as standard.

Meals are eaten in the hotel’s Sfusato restaurant. It’s kitted out with white linen and has big windows that frame the sea. The head chef packs dishes with local ingredients, so the menu favours net-fresh seafood and homemade pasta.

A bigger choice of restaurants can be found in Maiori’s town centre, where ancient churches knock shoulders with limoncello-serving bars. It’s only a few minutes’ walk away.
