The Hotel Pula Suites deserves credit for its luxurious accommodation and relaxing pool scene.

This luxurious hotel is in a secluded spot on Majorca’s best – and longest – golf course. A PGA Tour 18-hole course, it has two putting greens, a pitching green and a driving range. And if your style’s as important as your swing, you’ll enjoy browsing in the pro shop which stocks equipment and the latest fashions.

But golf’s not the only attraction here. Non-playing partners and families will have no difficulty passing the time. The purpose-built resort – built in the style of a Majorcan country mansion – sits in landscaped gardens with lovely views. And the suites themselves are spacious, luxurious and comfortable. At the heart of the hotel, you’ll find an attractive tiered swimming pool, surrounded by a good-sized terrace with plenty of sunbeds.

A gym and tennis courts provide scope for more strenuous activity. Or for some pampering, there’s a very nice indoor pool and spa, a massage centre, a sauna and a Turkish bath.

Food-wise, there’s a buffet and à la carte restaurant on site. And you can also try traditional tapas in the village of Son Servera. It’s a leisurely stroll away and there’s a selection of bars here, too. Or a short drive away, you’ve got the sandy beaches of Cala Millor, Porto Cristo and Badia d’Alcudia and old towns like Arta, with its honey-coloured stone buildings.
