The Queen of Montenegro has a regal position, overlooking Becici pebble and sand beach.

Set on a hillside in the town of Becici, the Queen of Montenegro is surrounded by photogenic scenery. From the decking that surrounds the L-shaped swimming pool, you can look out over Becici’s pebble and sand beach and the Adriatic Sea in the distance. From the beach itself, you can take in the hotel’s backdrop of craggy green mountains.

The hotel is decorated to bring the outside in. Bedrooms are designed with wooden floors and furniture, the colour scheme is natural green, and potted plants complete the scene. Every room has a balcony and some of them have sea views.

Facilities at the hotel fall on either side of the divide between sports and relaxation. There’s a basketball, volleyball and indoor football pitch. The wellness centre, meanwhile, is inspired by the 5 elements of earth, fire, water, wood and metal. These properties are reflected in the décor and the therapy list, which includes hot stone massages and aromatherapy.

The buffet restaurant is open for breakfast – when chefs make omelettes to order – and also dinner, where the spread presents pasta and pizza alongside national dishes, like smoked carp and trout. Some of the tables are on a terrace overlooking the sea. There’s also an à la carte eatery called Lokanda, where the speciality is ‘volcano stone’ food, which is part-cooked at the table. Alternative restaurant options are available in Budva, a 5-minute taxi journey away.
