When it comes to beautiful settings, this place takes some beating. In the heart of Dalyan, it looks out over the town’s river and ancient rock tombs, while mountains stand tall in the distance.

The hotel itself has been cleverly designed to make the most of the views. The swimming pool is just footsteps from the river, and comes with a huge terrace dotted with tables and chairs. It means you can order drinks and snacks from the pool bar, then sit and watch the boats go by.

For the best views, upgrade to a river-facing room that comes with a private balcony looking over the mountains. Inside, the walls are painted lemon-yellow, while tiled floors provide a platform for simple wooden furnishings. In-room comforts like air-conditioning and satellite TVs complete the scene.

Elsewhere, the hotel’s restaurant provides the setting for breakfast lunch and dinner. It specialises in traditional Turkish cuisine, but there’s also a good range of international dishes to choose from. Plus daily catches of fresh fish and blue crab are always on the menu. There’s an outdoor terrace, too, so you can enjoy the warm weather while you eat.
