It’s the location of this hotel that past guests really rate. Punta Prima beach, a stretch of pale golden sand with clear waters, is just a few steps from the hotel lobby. And there’s a handful of shops, bars and restaurants only a couple of minutes’ walk away, too.

The hotel itself is a friendly place, with staff who go out of their way to help. Step inside the reception and you’ll find a bright, open space split into little sections by wooden trellises and pillars. Comfy sofas, big indoor plants and chunky coffee tables complete the scene.

Elsewhere, the bedrooms are basic but well-kept. Whitewashed walls and pale tiled floors give way to simple wooden furniture and beds dressed in floral linen. TVs come as standard, as do balconies and terraces.

On the dining scene, there’s a buffet restaurant serving up a good choice of food. Expect pastries at breakfast, and Spanish favourites like seafood paella served alongside international dishes in the evenings. And if you’re peckish during the day, you can get light snacks at the pool bar.

Talking of the pool, the one here is quite a good size. It’s curvy and comes set in a wraparound sun terrace with gardens right next to it. Sunbeds, parasols and a kids’ section add the finishing touches. Plus, you’ve also got crazy golf onsite, too.
