When only the best will do, head to the sophisticated Lesante Hotel and Spa.

The Lesante is one of those sigh-inducing hotels you see in travel magazines. Stylish and luxurious, it looks like it’s been plucked straight from Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Take the reception area, for example. All stone pillars and marble floors, it’s the epitome of modern elegance. And the bedrooms are just as impressive. Decorated in shades of coffee and caramel, they’re decked out with sleek mahogany or beech furniture and spot-lit beds. They come with all the latest mod-cons, too, like LCD TVs and wireless internet connections.

Step outside and the scene is one of pure serenity. The hotel’s main swimming pool is surrounded by palms and gardens, and comes with a whirlpool bath. Elsewhere, a kids’ pool and playground keep the little ones entertained, while the poolside bar and restaurant serve up a great menu of snacks and cocktails.

When you really want to spoil yourself, though, head to the huge health and beauty spa. It covers more than 600 square metres and offers up treatments like massages and body wraps. The dining scene here matches the hotel’s five-star status. Breakfast and dinner are served at the Ambrosia, which specialises in Greek cuisine. The restaurant has got plenty of outdoor seating, too, so you can dine overlooking the impressive pool. Lunch is held at the Neptune à la carte restaurant, where you can get fish and meat dishes cooked to order. And for those after-dinner drinks, head to the chic Lounge Piano Bar or enjoy a cool drink in the Nectar Pool Bar.
