Mykonos Star details
With a private beach and fantastic sea views, the Mykonos Star is hard to beat for quiet getaways.
The views at the Mykonos Star are worth writing home about. The complex sits by itself on cliffs, so it gazes directly over the water. Better still, it has a private beach, reached by steps down from the pool terrace. With rocks at either end, it’s great for snorkelling as well as sunbathing.
The other main draw is the swimming pool. It’s big and designed in an infinity style, so it seems to melt into the sea. Plus, it’s surrounded by white-cushioned sunloungers, which means you can admire the views in comfort.
On the food front, there’s an outdoor bar-come-restaurant overlooking the sea, which serves breakfasts, light lunches and dinner. Expect modern Greek cuisine with an Italian slant, with dishes like stuffed aubergine, octopus salads and pastas holding sway.
Finally, when it comes to going out, there’s a popular beach taverna nearby, open mid-June to early September. Plus, the restaurants and nightlife of Mykonos Town are only a 15-minutes taxi ride.
