The Protur Roquetas Hotel & Spa looks out over a Blue Flag beach, so you’re all set for swimming and sunbathing.

The Protur Roquetas Hotel & Spa is ideal if you want a holiday that revolves around relaxation. The property faces Playa Serena, which is one of the best beaches in the area. It unravels for a kilometre and a half, and boasts a prestigious Blue Flag.

The hotel’s pool scene is attractive, too. The gardens overlook the beach and play host to a swimming pool with a wave river and hydro-massage beds. When a bit of pampering is in order, meanwhile, you can head for the spa, which offers things like Turkish baths and scented showers.

Food-wise, you’ve got a buffet restaurant serving international and Spanish favourites three times a day. You can sit on the terrace and, in the evenings, ask the chefs to cook your meat dishes to order. When you fancy a change, the hotel has two à la carte restaurants. Choose from the Brasserie steakhouse or La Sal, where fresh fish tops the bill.
