Turtle Beach Resort details
Stylish bedrooms, tropical gardens and a beachfront location - Turtle Beach is a first-class retreat that’s a cut above the rest.
Perched on the south coast of the island, clinging to white sands and azure waters, this place is every inch the beachfront beauty.
The property itself is part of the Elegant Hotels Group, which features some of the most luxurious hotels in Barbados. In terms of rooms, you can pick from spacious Junior and One Bedroom Suites. They all feature air-conditioning, mini fridges, iPod docking stations and flatscreen TVs. Finishing touches come in the form of a sitting area with a sofa and a balcony or terrace.
Outside, things are just as smart. For starters, you’ll find two swimming pools flanked by loungers and shady palm trees. There’s a whirlpool bath and a paddling pool area for smaller guests, too. Daily aerobics and aquacise take place in the main pools and there’s also tennis and a gym. Plus, you’ve got a lengthy list of complimentary watersports on offer at the Turtle Beach's Aqua School.
When it comes to dining, you’re spoilt for choice. Chelonia restaurant is all high ceilings, waterfalls and indoor greenery, with international fare dominating the menu. Zagat-rated Asiagos, meanwhile, has a more intimate vibe and specialises in Italian cuisine. Lastly, you’ve got The Waterfront, which serves up tasty light bites and à la carte dining in the evening.
