These rustic apartments have a beautiful countryside setting close to Montepulciano.

The San Bartolomeo apartments are in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, 5 minutes’ drive from the hilltop town of Montepulciano. They’ve been lovingly converted from an old farmhouse, parts of which date back to the 16th century.

There are 3 apartments and a cottage available. The Portico apartments are both on the ground floor – Portico A has 1 bedroom, while Portico B has 2, each with an en suite shower room. On the first floor is 2-bedroomed La Loggia. Vecchio Forno is a separate cottage, with a double bedroom and a covered terrace area. The accommodation has a rustic Italian feel, with exposed brickwork, beamed ceilings and decorative fireplaces. Large picture windows make the most of the views in Portico A and Portico B. Each property has a cosy living area, with comfy sofas and brightly coloured woven rugs, and an open-plan kitchen-diner. Bathrooms are modern, and have hydro-massage showers.

A gentle slope down from the main building leads to the large, shared swimming pool. It overlooks rolling hills and lush vineyards, and is bordered by well-kept lawns.

The surrounding countryside is easily explored by car, and the picturesque towns of Montefollonico and Pienza are both less than 20 minutes away.

2 bedroom apartment - Apt D, Portico B - on the ground floor, sleeps 2-5 with 2 bedrooms, both have en suite, hydro-massage shower, gallery-style kitchen with 4-ring hob, washing machine, dishwasher, dining room with sofa-bed in enclosed portico and heating at a charge.
