The Catalonia Playa Maroma teams a beachfront location with a backdrop of mangroves, so it’s spot-on if you’re looking for a bit of escapism.

The Catalonia Playa Maroma has an address to be proud of. It’s pulled up against the white sands of Playa Maroma Beach, so you’ve got the sea on the doorstep. Better yet, the whole property is flanked by jungle mangroves, so things feel really secluded.

At the centre of the grounds, you’ll find a large swimming pool. It’s bordered by a sunny terrace that’s freckled with loungers, parasols and tropical palms. Plus, it comes complete with shallow sections for little ones to paddle in. There’s a lively atmosphere out here during the day, with family games and competitions taking place.

At mealtimes, take your pick from a buffet eatery, a Mexican restaurant, Italian restaurant and a gourmet grill down by the pool.
