Garden Village details
This village-like complex is in a quiet corner of Kalamaki, just a ten-minute walk from the beach.
This little pod of self-catering apartments and studios is a favourite with TripAdvisor reviewers. And with this in mind, it comes as no surprise so many people come back again and again.
Looks-wise, the clue is in the name. It’s a cute-looking set of ten stone buildings dotted among lawns and terraces. Big terracotta pots, benches set under pergodas and Victorian-style wall lamps complete the scene. As for the pool, it’s a decent sized stretch of turquoise framed by a sun terrace and the apartments.
Inside, the accommodation is split into studios for two people, and apartments for up to four. They all have a traditional feel. Simple white walls and beamed ceilings give way to wrought-iron beds and rustic wooden furniture. And French doors open onto balconies, which are big enough to eat out on - handy seeing as these places all have kitchenettes.
If cooking isn’t high up on your holiday agenda though, you’ve got a couple of other options. For tasty snacks, there’s the poolside bar, and the hotel lays on barbecue nights that are really popular. Last but not least, you’re only a five-minute stroll from the centre of Kalamaki, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants.
