You don’t have to worry about getting to the beach when you stay here – there’s a white-sand stretch on the doorstep. Plus, the hotel is home to a huge swimming pool that winds around islands and under bridges.
As for the interior, everything’s smart and modern. The lobby is all marble floors, spotlit ceilings and leather sofas. Rooms, meanwhile, come with contemporary cream-and-beige colour schemes, and plenty of natural light courtesy of big patio doors.
In terms of dining, Al Walima – the main buffet restaurant – comes with great views over the pool and the Red Sea. There’s an outdoor barbecue terrace, and a kids’ corner for little ones.
Elsewhere, the pool bar does a nice line in afternoon tea, and the El Dawar beach bar serves up some great views at sunset. To round things off, you can get cocktails in the lobby bar, chill out in the shisha corner, or head for the pub-come-disco.
