Set between the Sinai Mountains and the Red Sea, this place couldn’t be in a better spot. It’s tucked on the outskirts of Dahab, just a short taxi ride from the nearest shops and restaurants. What’s more, the hotel has its own stretch of gold-dust sand, kitted out with loungers and windbreakers that offer a little privacy.

Its beachside location means all the outdoor areas offer up widescreen sea views. And there are plenty of places to soak up the scenery. The lake-sized pool is set in a spacious terrace. Plus, all the bars and restaurants come with a side-order of sea views.

Inside, this place has got interior-designed good-looks. The lobby uses marble and wicker to good effect and is trimmed with Arabian arches and futuristic chandeliers. The bedrooms are all cream, caramel and velvety reds, and come with bigger-than-average balconies. And family rooms have an extra twin bedroom for children.

Of course, this seafront setting opens up a world of activities. There’s volleyball on the beach, waterpolo and mini-football. The watersports menu ranges from windsurfing to scuba and snorkelling. On top of that, you’ve got a spa area with a massage room and sauna.
