With its contemporary interiors and beachfront location, the Ammos Mykonos Hotel is a stylish retreat.

The first thing you’ll notice about this hotel is the reception area. It’s decked out in cool whites and greys, with stone flooring and wooden sculptures giving it a back-to-The Ammos Mykonos Hotel is made up of bright white buildings, which huddle around chunky palm trees, cobble-stone floors and a curvy swimming pool. The pool looks spectacular at night, when it’s lit up by what looks like a million fairy lights floating in the depths.

The designers have gone down a quirky and contemporary road with the interiors. The reception area has a white and grey colour scheme, and is freckled with ivory sofas and dove-grey cushions. Arty flourishes come in the form of suspended wooden sculptures and oversized glass bowls. As for the rooms, they’re painted in white, and accessorised with muslin drapes, hanging paper lanterns and striking blue wall art.

In terms of location, the hotel is pulled up against a ribbon of sand, which is dotted with straw umbrellas and sun loungers. You’ll find a cocktail bar and a restaurant close to the shore, and, when you want a bit more choice, Chora town centre is less than a 5-minute drive away.
