"This beachside resort has two hotels, a good selection of restaurants and a great pool scene."

They say two’s company – and it’s true at this resort as it’s actually made up of two hotels. The Cypria Bay and Cypria Maris sit side by side surrounded by palm-dotted gardens. Whichever of the hotels you stay in, you can use the facilities at both. Plus, the entire complex fronts a shingle beach that’s ideal for snorkelling.

The main pool is a huge, lagoon-style number with waterfalls and bridges. It’s even got a swim-up bar for in-water cocktails. You’ll also find another large pool, plus two splash pools for children. Sun terraces frame the water, spreading out into the gardens, and there’s plenty in the way of loungers and shades.

On the dining front, you’ve got lots of choice. It’s all about pile-your-plate buffets here with a good range of international dishes on offer. Lunch and snacks are served on an al fresco terrace looking over the pools and lawns. And for something a little more authentic, head for the Cypriot-themed restaurant during the summer.

In terms of accommodation, expect bright and airy spaces. Bay wing white walls provide a blank canvas for bright soft furnishings in apricot. Each room comes with a balcony, plus essentials like air-conditioning, satellite TVs and mini-fridges.

As for where you’ll find it, the resort is about a 15-minute bus ride from the centre of Paphos - there’s a bus stop near the hotel. You’ll also find bars and cafés less than a five-minute walk away.
