Sirata Beach Resort details
At first glance, the Sirata Beach could easily be mistaken for a Caribbean hotel. After all, it’s set on a spectacularly white sandy stretch that’s dotted with towering palms and thatched umbrellas. Add shallow blue waters into the mix and it wouldn’t look out of place 300 miles further south.
Take a closer look though, and you’ll find plenty of all-American touches. For starters, the dining scene is brilliant. For a sit-down meal, head to the Compass Grille – a supersized menu features national favourites like clam chowder, slow-roasted ribs and chocolate peanut butter pie. Or grab a bite to eat by one of the three pools. Rum Runners bar and grille serves up a host of cocktails sandwiches and salads.
The pool area itself is huge and just footsteps from the beach. A spacious terrace makes for the ideal sunbathing spot, with a scattering of palms providing a little shade. The star of this show though is the stage – live music is put on here throughout the day.
As for the apartments, they’re large, modern spaces. Soft carpets give the lounges a homely feel, while the mini kitchenettes come equipped with all the essentials. In terms of other extras, you’ve got TVs, CD players and pay-per-view video games.
