Framed by rugged mountains on two sides, it’s just a five-minute walk to a small beach on the Bay of Pollensa. As you’d expect, the swimming pool is where most things happen. It’s a lovely lagoon-like number with three separate sections - a paddling pool for toddlers, an area for older beginners and a deeper section for stronger swimmers. Plus, there’s a playground close by with a helter-skelter slide for little ones.

The food is a treat, too. Kicking off everything is a bumper breakfast of full English fry-ups and Continental dishes. The lunches and dinners are good, too, with lots of hot and cold choices plus kiddie-height buffet bars.

Factor in a lounge bar, cabaret shows and a poolside cafe and there’s everything you need for a chilled-out getaway. One more thing - the rooms are like the rest of the hotel, spotless and modern. And they all count as suites, with separate lounges and balconies looking over the pool, mountains or gardens.
