The Hotel Miramar offers up a beachfront location with the Maricel Apartments tucked in just behind. With its warm, friendly atmosphere it’s little wonder this place has been a hit with guests for almost 100 years.
The Hotel Miramar & Maricel Apartments are run by the fourth generation of the same family who have been in charge since the place opened back in 1912. And it’s easy to see why it's stood the test of time. For starters, its location is impressive. The property is backed by mountains and fronted by a sandy beach, so great views are a big part of its appeal.
Looks-wise, it’s all whitewashed walls, wrought-iron balconies and fuchsia bougainvillea. Plus, you have the option of hotel rooms or apartments. The apartments are just across the road from the main hotel and can sleep up to 5, so they’re perfect if you’ve got the whole family in tow.
As for food, expect a varied set menu and Spanish-style à la carte options in the hotel’s restaurant. There’s also a cosy bar with exposed wood-beam ceilings and gilded chandeliers – head here during the day for a plateful of traditional paella.

Hotel rooms are located in the Miramar Hotel building and have twin beds and an extra bed suitable for a child, air-conditioning and a balcony or terrace. Sea-view rooms and, from May 2014, Superior sea-view rooms are also available.
Apartment facilities
1 bedroom apartments for up to 3 people and 2 bedroom apartments for up to 5 people have air-conditioning, satellite TV with limited channels, kitchenette, dining area, free Wi-Fi and hairdryer. Twin beds and an extra bed, extra bed is suitable for a child up to 12 yrs. Pool view available at a supplement. Apartments are on the ground, first or second floor and located across the road, about 10m from Miramar, and share the reception. The 2 bedroom apartment block doesn't have a lift. In the UK, only the Thomson Group offers Apartments at this hotel.
