Serving up amazing sea-views and a relaxed pool scene, this little Greek gem doesn’t put a foot wrong.

The Hotel Anassa Studios scores ten out of ten on the location front. It sits just across the road from the beach, so you get dazzling views of the Ionian Sea from pretty much any part of the grounds. And not only are you just a hop from the sand, you’ve also got Skala Village on your doorstep – if you walk you’ll be there in under ten minutes.

Inside, funky artwork and traditional sculptures rub shoulders with flower-filled terracotta pots and pale lemon walls, giving the whole place a really fresh, modern feel. In terms of the studios themselves, they’re bright, clean spaces, with tiled floors and polished wooden furniture. They all come with handy kitchenettes and all the usual mod-cons, like satellite TVs and internet access.

Head outside and you’re greeted by a really relaxing set-up. In the middle of the grounds, there’s a swimming pool bordered by flowers, palms and sunloungers. You’ve also got a whirlpool bath and a pool bar out here. And the raised terrace is a great spot for watching the sun set over the sea and the mountains in the evening.

Speaking of evenings, they’re pretty lively here. As well as quizzes, games and competitions, there’s occasional dancing and live music performances. And the hotel movie nights are really popular. A lounge bar with satellite TV rounds things off nicely.
