Melidron Hotel details
You can really make the most of Skala with the Hotel Melidron as a base – the property is close to the beach and within easy reach of the town centre.
The Hotel Melidron is a pretty pink building tucked among the palms and hills of the Skala area. It’s right by the beach – you’ve only got to go down the road and you’re on the sand – and the town centre is less than a 10-minute walk away.
If you’re staying put, you’ve got a good-sized swimming pool to swim in. It’s framed by gardens and rattan sunbeds which look out towards the sea. You’ll find a little bar out here, too, with an al fresco seating area.
In the mornings, the owners put out a buffet spread. You can pile your plate with things like scrambled egg, ham, cheese and honey, and freshly-squeezed orange juice is always available. The restaurant is closed in the evenings, so most guests wander into Skala to eat. That said, there are regular barbecue and Greek nights laid on.
