The adults-only Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort was awarded the title of one of the top hotels in the Americas by the Conde Nast Traveler's Gold List 2013, so you know you're in for something special. The location alone is prize-worthy. The hotel is pulled up against the white sands of Eagle Beach, and flanked by gardens filled with palms and blooms.
The hotel’s biggest talking point is its swimming pool, which is set in a stone terrace that’s dotted with smart wicker daybeds. It comes with a built-in whirlpool bath, as well. And if you want to really spoil yourselves, there’s a spa and a cabana on the beach where you can enjoy massages for two.
In terms of dining, all meals are served in the beachfront Pirates’ Nest Restaurant, which is housed in a replica 16th-century Dutch galleon. Everything from full American breakfasts to fresh seafood feature on the menu. You can also dine al fresco on the torch-lit terrace after dark.
