Sitting on one of the island's most beautiful beaches, this place couldn't be in a better spot. And because it's cocooned in jungle-like forest, it seems to stand in a world of its own.

The hotel itself is wrapped around a winding, free form swimming pool that winds from the lobby down to the beach. Islands and whirlpool baths give it a totally tropical feel. And it comes with sunbeds, palms and a swim-up cocktail bar, too.

Where families are concerned, this place has thought of everything. The younger children have their own pool and club, while at night, the sports bar – which is tucked away to the side of the hotel – turns into a teen disco. It comes complete with a dedicated soft drinks bar, so young adults will feel well looked after.

In terms of things to do, there's plenty of choice. For starters, there's a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and sports on offer include volleyball, tennis, horse riding* and aerobics. Then there's the watersports. With catamaran sailing, kayaking and water trampolining featuring on the menu, there's something to suit all tastes. And taking things down a gear, they've got Spanish and dancing lessons, too.

Standard rooms are Deluxe rooms with 1 king-size or 2 queen-size beds and sleep up to 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child up to 12 years. Hammocks are in all the ground floor rooms.
