The Dona Sylvia Beach Resort has got a location to shout about. The property looks out over the pale sands of Cavelossim Beach, so you’re only footsteps from the Indian Ocean. What’s more, there’s a small commercial centre within walking distance, which offers up restaurants and shops.

When you see the size of the hotel’s swimming pool, though, you probably won’t want to venture far. It’s massive with plenty of room for a game of water polo, or just relax on the sunny terrace. There’s a pool just for little ones, too, with loungers and parasols dotting the area. Plus, extra shade comes courtesy of tropical palms.

Come evening, you’ve got a buffet restaurant and, once a week, choose between two à la carte eateries, one of which serves up authentic Indian cuisine. After dinner, there are two bars to choose from, and you can expect live music and occasional games or maybe karaoke.
