Hotel Aeolian Gaea details
"The Aeolian Gaea is an intimate hotel in Skala Kalloni just a five-minute walk from the beach."
This place is the only boutique hotel on Lesbos. Looks-wise, it’s been designed in a traditional Greek style, so expect simple buildings painted in sandy tones. Its bedrooms are split across four separate houses – Aeolis, Theofilos, Napi and Sappho. Step inside and you’ll find calm spaces dressed in caramel and white. Light-wood fittings are teamed with earthy-coloured sofas, printed cushions and modern artwork on the walls.
Outside, a roomy wraparound terrace comes with a decent-sized rectangular pool in the middle and a clutch of sunbeds. A pool bar and a barbecue area add the finishing touches.
Aside from the pool, there are a few other options to keep you entertained. For real pamper-me treats, indulge in a sauna or a massage. More active types, meanwhile, can make the most of the tennis court and gym.
Lastly, there’s the restaurant. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are all served al fresco on a terrace overlooking the pool. In terms of the menu, it’s a typically Greek affair, so expect fresh salads, pasta and local dishes.
