Pasiphae Hotel details
“Typically Greek and family-run, the Hotel Pasiphae was made for relaxed, take-it-easy breaks.”
This place looks just how you’d imagine a Greek hotel to look. From the outside, the two-storey whitewashed buildings look like sugar cubes stacked on top of each other. They’re surrounded by cobbled paths, too, with tree-packed lawns giving them a back-to-nature feel. Inside, simple wooden furniture gives a nod to days gone by, while trademark whitewashed walls keep things light and airy.
The bedrooms continue the traditional theme. For starters, they’ve all been named after figures from Greek mythology or history. Plus symbolic triangles and squares have been incorporated into their simple décor. In terms of in-room comforts, you can expect air-conditioning and fridges.
Outside, the oversized swimming pool takes centre stage. Its bordering terrace is dotted with plenty of loungers and umbrellas, beyond which you’ll find the restaurant. With its simple pine furniture and wooden roof, it’s got a taverna-like feel to it. In terms of food, Greek and international favourites are on the menu. For breakfast, that means a continental spread, while at lunch and dinner you can tuck into things like salads, sandwiches and fresh fish.
When you want to get out and about, meanwhile, you’re in the ideal spot. The town centre is about a five-minute walk away, while the beach is even nearer. Plus you’re close to Skala Kalloni’s wildlife-packed wetlands.
