The Hotel Le Soleil has lots to recommend it – a prime beachfront setting, a large pool and easy access to Venice.

The Hotel Le Soleil is a great option if you want to combine trips to Venice with days on the beach. For starters, the property faces the sands, so you can relax by the sea when you want. What’s more, buses run from nearby to the port where you can catch boats to Venice – the journey takes around 90 minutes.

Another feature of the hotel is the big swimming pool. It’s set into lawns opposite the beach and edged by cushioned loungers and umbrellas. There’s a bar here, too, serving drinks and snacks.

When it comes to food, breakfast is a buffet number, with scrambled eggs, bacon and Continental selections served on the outdoor, pool-facing terrace. In the evenings, expect an à la carte menu with a choice of four courses. Later, you can sit on the poolside terrace and enjoy a nightcap while listening to the sea.
