This ultra-contemporary hotel offers a stylish retreat from the city of Marrakech. It was designed by world-renowned architect, Imaad Rahmouni, a Philippe Starck protégé famous for his clean-lined, neo-modern style. The property is made up of cubist-style blocks set in 2-hectare gardens, where you’ll find palm and olive trees.

Rahmouni has kept to a limited palette, with an emphasis on grey. The reception is practically a work of art, with its polished concrete walls, smoky velvet armchairs, and red satin cushions. In the bedrooms and suites, the use of softer shades, along with luxurious fabrics like suede, create a stylish yet comfortable feel. Options range from spacious standard rooms, to junior suites with hydromassage baths and private gardens with pools.

Outside, the pool is a real focal point. It’s in a sunken area framed by immaculate lawns, where you’ll find sleek black daybeds big enough for 2. Elsewhere, there’s a spa with a marble massage room, and hammam offering things like traditional black soap exfoliation treatments.

In terms of location, the hotel is just outside the city, in the shadow of the snow-capped Atlas Mountains. Jemaa El Fna Square is around 15 minutes away on the hotel’s free shuttle bus, which runs from around 9.30am until 11pm.
