Hotel Elysium details
Great views, high design, and one of the most talked about drag shows in Mykonos define the Hotel Elysium.
This gay-friendly hotel puts the chic in Greek. It starts with the views. The pool terrace looks out over the whitewashed buildings of Mykonos Town, the Mediterranean Sea, and a row of the island’s trademark windmills. And at dusk, the poolside bar offers ring side seats to the sunset. This is a great place to celebrate – there are bottles of Crystal in the fridge.
There’s art all over the hotel. The lobby is decorated with Snow White-style gilded mirrors, sculptures of nudes, and acrylic paintings of toga-clad ancients. Bedrooms, meanwhile, are minimalistic in monochrome.
Breakfast and lunch are served at the hotel, and it’s only a 15-minute walk into Mykonos Town when you want to find a restaurant for dinner. If you’d rather feast your eyes than your stomach, the Elysium hosts a nightly drag show.
