A real Greek charmer, this stylish villa is the ultimate rustic holiday hideaway.

At the Villa Alkyon, the only thing you’ll hear are the birds and cicadas. But, that’s not to say you’re a million miles from anywhere. By car, you can easily reach Kaki Lagada’s beach in five minutes or nearby Magazia in ten.

Of course, that depends on whether you’ll want to leave the peace and quiet of this sugar-cube-style villa with its wooden shutters and terracotta-tiled roof. Inside, it has cool flagstone flooring, whitewashed walls and authentic Greek furnishings. Its open-plan living space is light and airy and, whether you’re travelling with families or as couples sharing, there’s plenty of space. The lounge area has a feature stone fireplace, comfy sofas and CD player. And when it comes to mealtimes, you can rustle something up in the fully-equipped kitchen and sit around the elegant dining table or go al fresco on the barbecue and canvas chairs.

Upstairs, there are three bedrooms – a double with an en suite, a twin and a single and each has a balcony. But, of course, you’re most likely to spend your days in the private pool or on the terrace’s cushioned sun loungers.
