An extended family, two families, several couples – whatever your group, this four-bedroom villa has acres of space to spread out and do your own thing.

Modern and airy, it’s got two living/dining areas and three en suite bedrooms. There’s another bathroom, too, effectively providing one for each room. And from the wide French windows, you step onto a terrace surrounding a lovely swimming pool. All around are lawns and gardens filled with orange, lemon, fig, peach and avocado trees. There are also plenty of sunbeds, outdoor dining chairs and tables to go round, plus a big, built-in shaded barbecue area for al fresco dining.

Villa Kimbo shares its grounds with the owner's other villa, Horta da Avozinha.  But they stand at opposite ends of the garden, so there’s no compromise on privacy, and the trees' fruit can be enjoyed by guests in either house.

Location-wise, it’s situated in the peaceful countryside of the western Algarve. It’s close to the low-key beach resorts of Luz and Burgau – just four and eight kilometres away respectively. As well as beautiful sandy beaches, they’ve got a reasonable choice of shops and restaurants. Or for greater variety, the bustling historical town of Lagos can be reached by car in less than fifteen minutes.
