This is rural living at its best. Nestled into a hillside on the outskirts of Boliqueime, the Villa Limao offers prime views – you can see right down to the coast. But this peaceful location doesn’t equal out on a limb. It’s just 20-minutes’ walk to Boliqueime, or the same again driving to Albufeira.

Built on the site of an old ‘quinta’, or vineyard, the villa is surrounded by greenery. Add this to its apricot-coloured walls, roomy sun terraces and large private pool, and you’ve got quite a spot. Talking of the pool, it’s cleverly designed around a large carob tree – so you won’t need a parasol if you’re after a bit of shade between dips.

In terms of size, the villa is really spacious. Downstairs, there’s an open-plan living/dining area with comfy sofas and large sliding doors leading out to a patio terrace. You’ll find a built-in barbecue here if you fancy a bit of al fresco dining.

Bedroom-wise, the Villa Limao comfortably sleeps eight. You’ll find two bedrooms downstairs, while the master suite – complete with its own adjoining sitting room and sun terrace - gets its own floor above. In terms of décor, the bedrooms have fresh white walls and crisp bed linen.
