With the Alghero Lido just opposite, this comfy hotel is a great base for beach-lovers.
Right on Alghero’s seafront, this place is just a hop across the road from Alghero Lido with its amazing sunsets. The town centre, meanwhile, is a ten-minute stroll along the Passeggiata Busquets. It’s a romantic stretch serving up nice views of the port and beach, with plenty of bars and restaurants lining the route.
Design-wise, the hotel works a retro Sixties look – think cubist-style balconies and flashes of funky orange. Step inside, meanwhile, and it’s a whole different ball game. The reception is spruced up with a classic yet contemporary combination of lemon-yellow walls, marble floors and spotlights.
The restaurant follows suit. It’s a light and airy eatery complete with smart wooden furniture and splashes of turquoise. And it’s the perfect sea-view spot to tuck into Continental breakfasts or Sardinian specialities later in the day.
As for the bedrooms, you’ll find simple, smartly-dressed spaces. On the décor front, they all showcase a Med-style mix of terracotta floor tiles, neutral walls and wooden furnishings. And as for mod cons, air-conditioning comes as standard. All rooms have a private balcony, too, with a select few offering up seaviews.
Rounding things off is the pool area. There are two pools, both sea-facing, with one for adults and the other for children. With a pool bar, terrace with flatscreen satellite TV and plenty of loungers also thrown into the mix, you can easily while away the hours here.
