Right in the centre of Sorrento, the Grand Hotel Flora offers up sea views and great dining.

In the heart of Sorrento, this laid-back hotel is an ideal base for exploring the town. It’s just a five-minute walk from shops, restaurants and bars. Plus all the main sights like Piazza Tasso and the Chiesa di San Francesco are on the doorstep.

The hotel itself is renowned for its fantastic views of the Bay of Naples. The best place to see them is from the elegant fifth-floor restaurant. Time your evening meal for sunset, and they’re all the more spectacular.

Talking of which, the restaurant offers a three-course waiter service menu in the evenings, and you can try something different every night. As for breakfast, it’s your typical Continental affair, with plenty of fresh bread, ham and cheese on offer.

Elsewhere, the bedrooms are light and airy. Cue comfy beds, satellite TVs and air-conditioning in the summer. Most rooms have balconies, too, and some even look out towards the sea.

Finally, when you’re not out and about, the hotel’s swimming pool is a great spot to unwind. There’s also a poolside bar, serving up snacks like pizza and pasta.

Standard rooms are road-facing with 2 or 3 beds and a balcony. Pool or Sea-view rooms that are not road-facing are available at a supplement. Rooms of equal quality without a balcony or view are available at a reduction.
