The Hotel Girasole has a home-from-home feel. It’s a family-run place, with a friendly atmosphere. Another big draw is the pool. Tucked in the gardens, it’s got an oasis-like feel with sunloungers and palms clustered around the water. Nearby, there’s a flower-lined patio where you can sit over drinks and lunchtime snacks.

Inside, the hotel is textbook Italian, with tiled floors and murals on show in the shared areas. The bedrooms, meanwhile, are traditional spaces, with private balconies or terraces. Rounding things off is an elegant dining room where the buffet breakfasts are served. Occasional dinners are held here, too, with live music to serenade you.

In terms of location, the hotel is a 20-minute walk from a beach and five minutes to Sant Agnello’s main square. Sorrento’s town centre is a 20-minute walk or short bus ride away. Lastly, it’s worth noting the hotel stands on a busy road, so you may hear some traffic noise.
